Locals feeding fish and a turtle at the lake from the Nostalgia Bridge in Tun Fuad Stephens Park, also known as Bukit Padang. Since fishing is prohibited, the fish have grown huge, some over a metre long. The children were especially excited to see the turtle (kura-kura) trying to race the big fish for food. The fish are most likely Pangasius catfish, locally known as patin. The turtle is a Red-eared Slider (Trachemys scripta elegans). Both are common aquarium pets and are not native to Sabah. #
