🗓 #OTD in 1941 the Japanese launched a surprise attack on the naval base at Pearl Harbor. More than 2,000 Americans died that day, and it was the attack that forced the US to declare war on Japan. That day, an NBC radio affiliate in Honolulu made an urgent phone call to New York.
