Current update: the M8.1 CME is late, but it could still arrive. G3 conditions are unlikely at this point since the CME is slower than expected and may not have as much energy. All this is pending what actually happens when and if the CME arrives at our upstream solar wind satellites. There are also other CMEs en route to Earth that could save us from a complete shut out, so keep an eye out for those to impact over the next couple days.
