Max himself doesn’t have bad days. At some point, Max decided that being upset just wasn’t something he was going to do anymore. Every single time I’ve watched Max get close to being ‘upset’ he’s always said “I’m not upset” and immediately went back to baseline, which for him, is generally quiet and stoic.
