Joining Fire Cadets – what is it and how can you join?

This week we're welcoming the first of three new aerial appliances to our fleet - our 64m turntable ladders from @magirusgroup and @e1Group Let us know if you've spotted one already. The first of these new arrivals will be based at Dagenham, with the next two going to Old Kent Road and Wimbledon in the New Year. Huge thanks to White Watch at London Fire Brigade for welcoming me to Hayes Fire Station and talking me through their vital work across west London. I also had the chance to see (and experience!!!) specialist equipment they rely on to reach high-rise buildings: an incredible 30-metre ladder used in life-saving rescues.
