Today we celebrate soprano Angel Blue! Angel grew up in Apple Valley, California, just north of the San Gabriel mountains. She earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Redlands in 2005, and a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance from UCLA. Blue was a member of the Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Program at Los Angeles Opera from 2007/2009 and was a member of the Artistas de la Academia del Palau de les Arts from 2009 to 2010.She is a two-time Grammy Award winner, 2020 Beverly Sills

Our Songs of Summer recital series began with American soprano Angel Blue and Seattle Opera Coach/Accompanist Jay Rozendaal. Their program includes selections by Rachmaninov, Heggie, Charpentier, and Verdi, as well as African American spirituals.
