20 Yellowstone wolves have been killed in recent months after crossing the national park’s borders. This is the most ever recorded in a season since they were reintroduced to the area more than 25 years ago, and it marks ‘a significant setback for the species’ long-term viability and for wolf research,’ according to a statement from park officials to the AP. Now, there are estimated to only be approx 94 wolves left in the park. 15 of the animals were killed in Montana, and 5 were killed in Idaho
