The situation quickly escalated as live power lines fell to the ground making the scene challenging to combat. SMUD was called for assistance to cut the power so crews could knockdown the fire. Quick tips on forcible entry for WINDOW BARS. 🪓⬇️ Window bars can be a formidable challenge, but they are often easier to force than they look. 👉🏼 Often, I found that hand tools and leverage were better than a saw. If you understand the weak points of window bars and how they are commonly mounted, they are often easily defeated with a Halligan or hook. The exception is if the bars are bolted through to a stud, as shown in the picture. If they are lag bolted through, you may have to cut them.
