A glimpse of wild cardinal tetras in their natural habitat, a mixture of fallen leaf litter and jungle debris in a slower corner of the river. These fish were never found in faster flowing sections, always in shallow water where the flow slowed. This was a blackwater environment with very soft water (tds 8) and very acidic (pH 4.1) water temp was around 28c and being only around 2 miles from the equator it was 32c all day long! #habitat #biotope #fish #fishing #cardinal #tetra #angelfish #Discus
