Loggerhead sea turtle hatchlings emerged from their nest in Folly Beach, South Carolina, on Sunday. According to NOAA, loggerhead populations in the United States have declined due to bycatch in fishing gear such as trawls, gillnets, and longlines. Thankfully, here in Folly Beach, all sources of artificial light are banned in order that hatchlings can find their way to the ocean. #Conservation #Loggerhead | Environmental Defense Fund
