As someone with a T11/T12 incomplete spinal cord injury, I never imagined I’d be standing upright without braces. But after just 60 minutes at @abilities_research_center , that moment becomes real. ♿️ While it’s not a “typical” stand, it was powered by a whole lot of determination, some solid muscle activation, and a body that refuses to quit. This is Chuck 👋 He’s here at TRP working hard in rehab after a femur fracture but his story reaches far beyond our clinic walls. Chuck is a T11 incomplete spinal cord injury survivor from a 2015 MVA, a professional chef, a mentor, and the heart behind “The Able Chef.” After his accident, Chuck joined a community cooking class without mentioning that he was a chef.
