To safely winch a patient to the aircraft, part of the process includes using a tagline to prevent the stretcher from spinning. A tagline is generally a 120 metre length of 6ml rope (ours is yellow in colour) that is secured to the stretcher via an anchor point and then held secure at ground level by a member of the crew.
