Roll-Out! A new experimental solar array design recently arrived at the International Space Station. The hope is that the Roll-Out Solar Array (or ROSA) will be more cost saving while also increasing the power provided to satellites. The investigations will look into how ROSA handles launch, deployment and retraction in microgravity, meaning this could really change “how solar power rolls”.
