After weakening back to category 3 overnight, cyclone Alfred is now expected to make an awkward turn towards the coast for the next 36-48 hours. We can still be confident that an upper trough will turn him to the SE and away from the coast from late Sunday, but I'll be pretty nervous until I see that actually occur.
