On the SAT, for dangling modifier questions, use this hack: \t1. If a choice starts with it or they, it is never right. \t2. Look at the first real noun after the comma. If it is not the person or thing from the intro phrase, that choice is wrong. \t3. If the person you want shows up with ’s (like “Bob’s cat”), that is wrong too, because that word became an adjective, not the subject.
