Midline stabilization involves the athlete’s ability to maintain the natural S-curve of the spine and wed the spine to the pelvis when dynamic and/or loaded. In an effort to push the hips back, athletes commonly rotate the pelvis anteriorly, temporarily exaggerating the natural lumbar curve.
