I was fortunate enough to be able to volunteer on a project where I was permitted to handle these cuties. Calling these lizards simply Flat-TAILED Horned Lizards is an understatement, this is the overall flattest lizard you’ll ever see. They essentially eliminate their shadow by pressing their body as flat as they can to the desert soil
