LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– The City of Lansing’s Code Blue cold weather emergency plan has once again been activated ahead of upcoming cold weather conditions. Code Blue will go into effect at 7 p.m.
With temperatures expected to dip below freezing, Schenectady County has declared a Code Blue to help ensure people have access to emergency shelter.
Lansing's Code Blue initiative, which activates warming centers across the city during extreme cold, has spent more than $63,000 this winter season — surpassing its $40,000 budget allocation .
