Emmy Award-winning actor Timothy Busfield, who surrendered to authorities earlier this week to face charges stemming from allegations of sexual misconduct involving two young boys, shared intimate details about his sex life in court documents filed Friday.

Melissa Gilbert’s son, Michael Boxleitner, whom she shares with ex-husband Bruce Boxleitner, wrote a character letter in support of stepdad Timothy Busfield as he faces child sex abuse charges. The actress' youngest son called Busfield his 'hero' and said he 'has shown up for me as a father more in the 15 years l've known him than my own biological father ever has in the entirety of my life.

Timothy Busfield's attorneys claimed that the parents of his alleged victims are motivated by money and revenge in a court filing seeking his release while he awaits trial on child sex abuse charges.

Another allegation against Busfield was reported to law enforcement the same day he turned himself in, according to a court filing.
