A severe winter storm is expected to bring a glaze of ice, dangerously cold temperatures, and potentially a foot of snow to Oklahoma City over the weekend.

More than 160 million Americans are expected to face an unusually brutal winter storm from Friday, with heavy snows and freezing rains forecast.

Extreme and record-breaking temperatures will spread across the eastern half of the country as the storm progresses, causing rapid changes.

Delaware will be under a winter storm warning from 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, until 7 a.m., Monday, Jan. 26., according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey.
