The Fulton County elections director estimated troves of 2020 election records sought by the State Election Board will cost more than $400,000.

Fulton County Commissioner Dana Barrett launched her campaign for secretary of state Thursday. She joins a Democratic primary field that already includes former Fulton County State Court Judge Penny Brown Reynolds, who had a brief reality TV career, as well as Adrian Consonery Jr. and Cam T. Ashling.

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved more than $640,000 in opioid settlement funds for five Atlanta organizations that provide treatment and recovery services for residents affected by opioid use disorder.

Ivory current represents District 4, which covers the southeast part of the county. She will face off with current District 5 commissioner Marvin Arrington Jr, and Chairman Robb Pitts in May’s Democratic primary.

Georgia’s secretary of state addressed the controversy and said, “A clerical error at the end of the day does not erase valid, legal votes.”

The Fulton County government is asking for volunteers to step up for the 2026 Point In Time count. The annual PIT count is used to canvass communities across the United States to get a check on the scope of homelessness in each area.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office is mourning the loss of a former colleague, Retired Sergeant Robert "Bob" Walsh. Walshy, as he was known to everyone, was born in NYC. He joined a childhood friend and came up to visit Fulton County, where he fell in love with the Foothills of the Adirondacks and decided to make North Bush his home.
