A deadly coordinated attack on several communities in Kebbi State has left at least 44 people dead, prompting an urgent security response across the affected areas. The Kebbi State Police Command said the killings occurred in Shanga Local Government Area, where multiple villages were simultaneously targeted by attackers.

The ongoing clearance operation, according to the police, is targeting high-risk areas such as farmlands, forests, border communities.

Two of the personnel are reportedly in serious condition.
