CINCINNATI — The Bearcats posted arguably their best win of the season on Monday night, prompting a rise in our latest Weekly NET rankings check-in. The 89-62 win over Lipscomb vaulted UC basketball up to 91st in the NET from 107th entering the week.

Regarding the women's program, Jan Jensen's squad earned the No. 11 spot in the NET rankings, which ranks behind fellow Big Ten opponents such as No. 3 UCLA, No. 5 Michigan, No. 9 Maryland, and No. 10 Michigan State.

Coming out of the Christmas break, Florida basketball (8-4) is ranked No. 22 overall in the NET.

Vanderbilt is yet to face a ranked opponent, but it did defeat UCF and SMU (28th in NET) during the non-conference portion of the schedule. No. 14 Alabama is their first ranked opponent, on Jan. 7, with Florida, Arkansas and Kentucky all in January as well.
